How are auto parts cleaned?
In the metal processing industry, with people's higher and higher requirements for zero performance and processing efficiency, cleaning agent is no longer a simple decontamination effect, but has been given more requirements. According to the characteristics of metal materials, the cleaning agent used is required to effectively decontaminize at the same time, but also need to play the role of rust prevention on the surface of metal parts, enhance the corrosion resistance of the product, which puts forward higher requirements for the additives added in the cleaning agent.
At present, the commonly used metal cleaning methods include soaking cleaning, spray cleaning, high pressure spray cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning.
For multi-cavity parts, foam penetration cleaning is generally adopted. This way has higher requirements on the cleaning ability of cleaning agent and the ability of emulsifying miscellaneous oil, but the antifoam performance is not high. However, the emulsifying capacity of cleaning agent has a disadvantage, cleaning capacity will gradually reduce, so the service life is short.
Most of the parts in the automobile transmission are cleaned by spraying, and then rinsed and dried. Spray cleaning equipment is generally equipped with skimmer, suitable for the use of anti-miscellaneous oil ability is strong cleaning agent, but also consider the defoaming ability. Cleaning agents have their own best use of temperature range, its cleaning capacity is increased with the temperature, but once beyond this range, cleaning capacity will decline. Therefore, it is also very important to master the appropriate cleaning temperature.
High pressure spray cleaning is used to remove the surface of the parts of the dirt at the same time to remove the metal surface burr, the parts of the positioning, fixed point spray, the cleaning agent is required to have a good resistance to foam under high pressure.
In some specific process conditions, the selection of cleaning agent must also consider the impact on the subsequent processing process. For example, in the production of transmission gear parts, the need for machining procedures include tooth grinding and shot peening. At the end of these two processes, the gear needs to be sprayed and cleaned. Then, when cleaning in the middle between grinding teeth and shot peening, it is necessary to consider whether the cleaning agent used will affect the subsequent shot peening process, such as whether the drying will leave a sticky cleaning agent residue or covering film on the surface of the parts. All of these will damage the quality of shot peening process and lead to product defects.
